I tried once to encode an .avi file into SVCD with toast 6, but (aside being
slow), it generated an output much larger in size than the original. I think
it shouldn't, but maybe I'm missing something. I tried again as VCD, still
file size was slightly bigger than the original.

Basically I wanted to squeeze a 800+ megs file into a CD, which I think was
the goal of the original poster? Also never heard of mini-dvd.
