Thanks to all who offered advice for burning an SVCD or a "Mini-DVD" CD-R
with Toast 5.2.3. I've since upgraded to OSX Tiger and Toast 6 so I'll try
again and see what happens.
A Mini-DVD is where you fit 15 minutes at full DVD quality onto a standard
CD-R:-

I've got quite a few CD-Rs and CD-RWs (used to use them for backing up)
so being able to fit 15-20 minutes of DVD format on them could be quite
useful for business trips (speaking as someone who got stuck in M5
services a few weeks ago when there was gridlock for 2 hours).
Let us know how you get on with Toast 6.
