yes.
A better or additional step is DiskWarrior,
Norton puts crap onto your drive if you let it. I don't know anyone who
still recommends it for X. I recently looked at TechTool as a further option
and that looks like it auto installs system related stuff on its first
launch - which I am wary of. Any feedback on that is welcome.
