I've done my very first powerpoint presentation from scratch on my
Mac ( OSX) but it needs to be shown on a PC (this afternoon.....). I
have copied it (using Toast 6.0.3) on a CD R/W but it won't play on
the PC that's in the office next door....the icon shows on the screen
 but the file won't open.

I don't know what I am doing wrong. I selected Mac&PC when copying.

Have you tried copying the file off the CD and onto the PC? I am
assuming you can see the file ...

Yes, you can see it, but you can't do anything *with* it if you know what I mean. It just sits there. It can't be dragged and dropped anywhere - a 'no entry' line comes through it if you try to move it.

What version of PowerPoint is it on the PC vs the version on the Mac?
Though to my knowledge, there should not be a compatibility problem.

I dunno....I think they should be both up to date.
