I Had a bit of an 'accident' when I was moving my 840av. Slipped and
dropped it on the edge of the bench. It smashed the CD bezel, and
pushed the CD drive back in the case, breaking a bit off the tray
that holds it in. The drive still works thankfully, but currently my
840av is sat with no lid on and the CD drive is loose on the top.
I need a tray (plastic 5.25" sled type used in most machines with CD-
ROM trays) and a from bezel. I also need a 800/8000 series slot-
loading bezel in good condition, no yellowing, permanant marker
marks, or physical scratches or gouges. One of the reasons I'm so mad
is this 840av is in mint condition so the bezel should be similarly
so. If the item is in good condition but has dust or easily removalbe
dirt on I will likely be ok with it as long as a bit of cleaning will
bring it up like new.
Also, this one is a bit more of a long-shot, a U-shaped metal 2-drive
shoe like the one fitted in the WGS 8550 (I just gont one and never
even realised those existed!!) would be cool. It's got 2 fans on the
side from memory too. If anyone has one with only one drive in that
they would be willing to give it up I can send you a plastic tray to
mount the drive back onto in the case. This will eventually have a
pair of 9GB drives dropped into it in a RAID for recording video on
the 840av.
