I am not sure if I am being especially stupid but I have a conundrum as far as the RAM in one of our G4 iBooks is concerned. It has, according to the hardware profile, 256 MB of RAM hard wired and, until yesterday, 128MB of RAM in the slot. However, it was only showing 256 MB of RAM as being addressed. I assumed this was because of a fault with the RAM stick in the machine, so I changed it yesterday for a new 512 MB stick and the profile now says there is: 256 MB on the board, 512 MB in the slot and 640 MB RAM overall. Am I being dense?
