And this is my second question. My other problem is that Brightness in Displays System Preferences sometimes changes to the minimum when my iMac G5 running Panther 10.3.5 starts up or wakes up from sleep. Something wrong. Is this a known problem? I suspected this is due to a side effect of any spywares.

try running your software update. you can get updates up to 10.3.9. Most builds have bugs in the process but 10.3.9 solves a lot of them.
