You'll be aware that some of the Low End Mac mailing lists have been moved from maclaunch to Google Groups. You'll also be aware that the login procedure for Google Groups uses some bespoke code that crashes Netscape 7.02 (the last pre-OS X version of that program).
Has anyone had any success logging in to Google Groups with any pre-OS X web browsers? I'm interested in connecting either with a 68040 Mac running OS 7.5.3, or a high-end pre-G3 PowerMac running OS 9.1, but frankly, any working solution, from an SE/30 running OS 6.0.3 to a G3 running OS 9.2.2, would do. Internet Explorer 5.1 (bundled with retail OS 9.1) is supposed to work, but it's an awful program that I'd much rather avoid. If I have to upgrade to OS X, or (God help me) Windows 2000, that would completely defeat the purpose of subscribing to the LEM lists in the first place. -- Mac UK is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and... 123Inkjets.com <http://lowendmac.com/ad/123inkjets.html> Support Low End Mac <http://lowendmac.com/lists/support.html> Mac UK list info: <http://lowendmac.com/lists/mac-uk.shtml> --> AOL users, remove "mailto:" Send list messages to: <mailto:[email protected]> To unsubscribe, email: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> For digest mode, email: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subscription questions: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Archive: <http://www.mail-archive.com/mac-uk%40mail.maclaunch.com/> iPod Accessories for Less at 1-800-iPOD.COM Fast Delivery, Low Price, Good Deal www.1800ipod.com
