Hi Shaun,
Especially for native version, I think the proper approach would be to
create separate .app that has the extension manager binary as the
executable. This would make it apparent that when clicking the document, the
extension manager is starting (the correct icon bounces). It would also make
it easy to associate the correct icon with the .oxt extensions (the
documents).

The other information should be in the specs (icon name and mimetype).
I'll hopefully read the specs tonight. I have not yet created an
issue for it.
