Hi,
James P. Neal a écrit :
When will OpenOffice
OpenOffice.org
for MAC OS X 10.5 (Leopard) be released?
Strictely: when 3.0 (stable) will be available, but snapshots (
unofficial ) are available. Please do not use them in production, and
don't forget you use them at your own risks.
More completely :
There is a cws Leopard dedicated. The code is ok for me, but needs a
review from an expert, because we modified something who could afffect
all OS.
Kai Ramme promised me to have a look at the changes on next monday and
confirm everything is ok. Once done, the cws should be declared Ready
for QA, and - I hope so - soon approved by QA.
Once done, the code allowing automatic compatibility will be in the main
stream, i.e. in classical milestones Maho builds.
Please note the cws only fixes Aqua build on Leopard, not X11 build on
Leopard: there is currently a breaker with X11 version on Leopard,
caused by a strange linking issue with unknown symbols.( searching what
happens ... )
The X11 build done on Tiger,, and both Tiger/Leopard compatible is ok
anyway, for both architectures ( PowerPC and Intel).
What will miss is the QuickLook plugin. We probably will have to provide
it separately to the people using Leopard, and downloading X11 version
built on Tiger.
Nevertheless, I wonder who, using Leopard, will use X11 version on it,
instead of the Aqua one ? :-)
Thanks,
You're welcome, and thanks for your interest in OpenOffice.org on Mac OS X.
