What does everyone think about releasing the 2.3.1 en-US X11 version of OpenOffice.org for the Mac.

I did a short usage test, and it did work with no unexpected side effects, other than Java not working on Leopard.

I am inclined to go for a release as the probability of there being a big bug is highly improbable.

I've had a couple of UK journalists (who all seem to use Macs) asking
about the availability of 2.3.1 on Mac?

German community did some basic testing for en-US Build too and
gave the advice to release it since it is most unlikely, but not
impossible, that an error that wasn't found during testing the
german version occures in the en-US version.

In the end the final decission is made by the responsible QA
represantive for en-US or en-GB build. If they do not give up
issues that their version should be distributed nothing is done and
2.x will stay the most recent version.

You may ask on [email protected] about the release status
for 2.3.1 en-US and en-GB and if you can help QA them so that they
are due to release soon.

HTH,
Eric
