Hi David,
Currently the aqua has limited testing. There is currently work to
complete the automated testing, as it required some rework to get it
to work in ooo aqua.
http://qa.openoffice.org/issues/buglist.cgi?keywords=aqua is a list of
current issues. If you can verify/test/comment on any of them, it is
really useful, as it means that developers don't need to verify all
the changes that they are making themselves.
The QA project will help you too.

Thanks for getting back.
My "expertise" lies in testing so perhaps I should head over the to
QA project and sign up there, but, I would like to keep in touch
with the Aqua side of things. I presume there must be Test specific
activities for the Aqua port that I can get involved in.
I'll have a go at the Aqua build in the next couple of days, and pop
back up here if I get any problems.
Cheers,
David

Hi David,
Our current timeline on the web site is out of date. Out current
aim is to have a stable Aqua build for the 3.0 release of
OpenOffice.org, which is due around ooocon2008 (around September
2008).
Can you please tell us what areas of coding/software development
that you have experience in? From this we will be able to recommend
things that you would be best working on.
Also first please make sure that you have managed to build ooo
Aqua. The build instructions are available from:
http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/wiki/AquaBuild
If you run into problems, please post to this mailing list, or poke
us on IRC.

Hopefully an easy answer - but do we have a timetable for the Aqua
port project? I am too busy with work to commit a lot of time to
helping out on the project, but if i can see a timetable of sorts,
i can try and plan something in for the early part of 2008
Currently running OO through X11, but really looking forward to
the Aqua version at some point in future.
