Hi Shaun, everyone,
Right now the list of non-Sun attendees is quite small. So, what's the
problem ? Are there no interested Mac-porters out there (I would doubt
that) or do the proposed dates just not work ?
Note that not only developers, but testers and users are welcome, too. I
have no problem meeting with my colleagues only - but, hey, not during
the week-end ;) Anyway, it would be cool if more people would consider
attending, and putting their ideas onto the agenda.
So, here are my agenda proposals. Feedback is welcome:
- what system integration is still missing ? (makes a good brainstorming
session)
- in the same spirit: what OOo feature would you like to see enhanced
specifically for the Mac platform ?
- roadmap discussion (what's missing, what's unclear, what's next)
- can we improve rendering speed ? (pl can give an overview of the
current implementation)
- do you know VoiceOver ? (fne can demo OOo's accessibility
implementation, which is superior to most other Mac apps)
- how can the accessibility support be used for scripting via AppleScript ?
- how to develop extensions with NetBeans on the Mac ? (hopefully the
SDK is running by then)
- integration with other Mac apps (eg what's missing for graphics import
from iPhoto/Aperture ?)
- status of the Cairo-Canvas for Mac (would OpenGL be any better?)
- How could we improve the QuickLook plugin ?
- ...
Anything else ?

If there are no objections within the next week, the date will Friday
16th May 2008 and Saturday 17th May 2008 in Hamburg. These appear to be
the best dates for those who have made a preference using meet-o-matic.
You will find at the bottom of the wiki page for this event a list of
things that we hope to find some progress on at this event. Please add
to this list as required.
