Indeed, allow OpenOffice.org to use Apple remote control is a nice feature. I have other code using MIT like license, and I don't know how use it with OpenOffice.org (is it even possible to integrate such code ? ) . Anyway, I think I have understood the essential, and we'll certainly discuss the point with Philipp Lohmann and Michael Sicotte during the WWDC 2008.

It is not good to mix licenses and I think the MIT license has restrictions. PL should be able to address this and before WWDC 2008.

MIT is one of the least restrictive licenses in existance. It basically says "Grab it and be happy, no warranties". MIT licensed code can be used in every context, you don't even have to provide changes you make. The only restriction is that the license header needs to stay in all (partial) copies of the code.

Kind regards, pl
