Hi jdk team and MacOSX porting team,
in OOO300_m2 I found that we require Java 1.5.

IIRC, no compatibility with Tiger (jdk 1.5 is installed via Xcode).

According to
<http://www.apple.com/support/downloads/javaformacosx104release6.html>
Java 1.5.x is installed via a security update under Mac OS X
10.4.10 and higher. For 10.4.8 there also exists a Java 1.5.x
<http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/apple/macosx_updates/javaformacosx104release5.html >.
Only for 10.4.x up to 10.4.7 I couldn't find any informations but
maybe they are available when digging deeper into the Mac OS X
support and download pages. It may only be necessary to switch to
1.5.x as the default when using Tiger.

I believe that having Mac OS X 10.4.10 is a reasonable requirement for Tiger users. Maho, which version of Mac OS X are you using? Are you able to update to the latest Tiger, so you have all the security updates?

How likely is it the there is an OpenOffice.org user out there on Tiger who will need to run ooo on an OS older than the latest Tiger updates?
