So you should at least see previews for .odt documents because org.oasis-open.opendocument.text is supported by a system plugin.

OOo 3 currently ships without a QuickLook plugin. A QuickLook plugin needs the ability to run even without the main OOo application being installed. So when evaluating our options we decided we could 1) just use the document thumbnail and enlarge it (which looks quite ugly) 2) bootstrap the whole office just to be able to display the preview (which would take way too much time and resources as of now) 3) write the plugin independently of the main office application (which takes a long time to develop)

Option 1a) would be to use the embedded pdf preview in a document that gets stored when you save a file with later versions of NeoOffice. But then, of course, only few documents would have that and it's against the ODF standard if I remember correctly.

So I am currently working on option 3 but the fact that I am working on it in my spare-time and my 2 kids and my wife reduce this spare- time to a very bare minimum, will not let me estimate a release date for it.

Kind regards,
Florian
