MacFUSE 2.1.9 from Erik/Tuxera used to print many debug messages. Depending on 
your needs it would be best if you upgraded to OSXFUSE or Fuse4X. MacFUSE is 
dead.

OSXFUSE is compatible with MacFUSE. You can get it at 
http://osxfuse.github.com. Just select the "MacFUSE compatibility layer" option 
when installing OSXFUSE and you should be good to go.

Fuse4X aims to be compatible with Linux FUSE but you can't use it with existing 
MacFUSE file systems. Those would need to be recompiled to work with Fuse4X. 
Fuse4X can be downloaded at http://fuse4x.org.

Unlikely, MacFUSE from MacPorts or Fink would not flood your kernel log.
