Making backup copies of anything is a good idea. For example, the cd players
in cars that you slide your cd in to play seems to cause scratches on the
cd. I always make copies to play in my car. I go one step further...I don't
like all the songs on a cd so I make composite cds of the songs I like just
for my car.

The same goes for DVDs.It is nice to make backups that don't have all of the
extra garbage they now use to fill up DVDs. Also, many people now have DVD
players in their cars. My daughters have DVDs in their cars/vans to
entertain my young grandchildren. Instead of putting good DVDs in your car,
it is easier to make a backup to keep in the car. Heaven forbid we take a
road trip and forget our copy of "The Wiggles"......
