As an innocent (!?) bystander who has enjoyed the dustup all the while realizing its sadness and futility -- not to mention the digression from the list's major aims -- I just want to add that I hope "Kay" is better at her job than she is at writing the English language. And I will also add that I don't think the "Don't let the door hit you" message was amiss. "Kay" may be very knowledgeable and may have contributed to the list in the past, but my sense is that there are many others just as wise but who also appreciate good manners, and I for one won't miss her venom and holier-than-thou attitude.
On a slightly different topic, I've been meaning to say how much I appreciate this list. Most of it is over my head, but I do find valuable info and a group of -- mostly:) -- civilized folks who clearly are committed to what they do.
