I sent this out under a subject heading which may have caused many to pass
it over. OK, here is is without the political intro...

I want to copy my Outlook Express address book onto an external hard drive
in some form. The best form would be something that could be directly
imported back into a freshly installed Outlook Express if that becomes
necessary.

I have managed to export the main list as "Contacts Export" into a Simple
Text document. This is a raggedy looking list, but better than nothing.
This list could be copied onto the external hard drive.

The most important contacts are in sub-groups which do not show up on this
copied list. If I open the group window I cannot copy the group list in the
same manner as I can copy the main address book to a Simple Text document.

How can I copy these sub-groups?

Can the main address book and the sub-groups be copied in a form which would
import into OE at a later time?

Since I have what is for me a vast amount of storage on the external drive,
copying the entire Outlook Express would be OK with me.

OS9.1, B&W G3, OE 5.0.5.
