I'm guessing you bought the song from the iTunes Music Store. All  
music purchased there is encumbered by digital rights management, and  
you can't directly use it in a DVD project. (A dialog box warning you  
would be nice.) To use it, burn it off to a CD first and then re- 
import it off the CD.

Get used to little gotchas like this. The content cartel is doing  
everything it can to curtail fair use.
