I read somewhere long ago that labels made on a home printer can get too hot in the DVD player and come loose and ruin the machine. For that reason I have only made labels for shorter DVDs because I figures 15 minutes or less wouldn't be long enough to get the label too hot. However, I now have some DVDs running close to 40 minutes that I want to give to friends, and don't want to ruin the looks of it by writing the labels with a marker using my sometimes nearly illegible writing.
Has anyone else heard that labels can ruin the machine? Any other suggestions? Thanks.
