I highly recommend the Line 6 Toneport for use with GarageBand. You do need a Mac that has a USB2 port on it though. I use mine with a Mac Mini that also has two Firewire drives connected to it. The Toneport has two microphone inputs, two guitar inputs, stereo line inputs, and a S/PDIF digital output. There's also a stereo monitor input so you can play along with CDs or pre-recorded music. The Mac software is excellent and includes guitar and vocal effects. I also use mine to record my DTXpress digital drum kit. http://www.line6.com/toneport/ If you are not up for spending bucks on a Toneport you can just use the audio input on your Mac (assuming yours has one). You can get just about any combination of cable that you need from Radio Shack. I used a stereo RCA to 1/4 stereo adapter before I bought the Toneport. When using the audio input you have to be careful not to over-drive it though. ============================================================== Dan Johnson, Cell Phone: (859) 533-2458, Skype VoIP: VRMAD1 Web sites - http://bitbucket.EpicenterTech.biz, http://EpicenterTech.biz E-mail: vrmad1 at gmail.com, vrmad3d at yahoo.com, AIM / iChat: VRMAD1 ISPQ Video Conferencing: VRMAD1 (www.ispq.com) ============================================================== -------------- next part -------------- A non-text attachment was scrubbed...
