I leave the box unchecked and eye-ball each file before opening.  
Also, I may not want to deal with a download file until a latter  
date. Is my method any safer? Probably not, all I have the ability do  
is verify the alleged source and content, I could be opening a cheese  
sammich for all I know...jf
