I am looking for a new digital camera. Since I purchased my first one several years ago new storage media have arrived on the scene.
I've been looking at cameras with compace flash, and xd and sd media. On the plus side for compact flash 1) I have 2, 128mb compact flash cards 2) I have a compact flash card reader Down side, if there is one, The compact flash cards take up considerably more space in my camera bag than either the xd or sd cards. On the plus side for the sd/xd cards 1) they are smaller and take up less room in my camera bag Down side, and there is one 1) I will need to purchase additional cards 2) I will need to purchase a card reader. So, my questions to the group are 1) Is SD/XD media "better" than compact flash media?, how so? 2)If they are better are they so much better it would behoove me to buy a camera that uses them and then buy a new card reader and additional cards? 3)is sd better than xd or xd better than sd? 4) and finally, can anyone recommend web sites with good digital camera reviews?
