Thanks Harry. I wanted to avoid the additional cost of buying an Airport
Extreme Base station if I could but need to control the wireless network
with my G4 Mac. I am glad that I will be able to do that with the G4.

Would this configuration work? Instead of buying an Airport card for my G4,
can I just connect it by USB as I have my DSL router connected now. Then I
would only need to buy the Airport card for the GE Ibook and a card for the
Dell?

Is it possible to use another vendors card or connection to take advantage
of the "g" technology versus the Airport Card's "b" technology?

I really appreciate your help.

Nora
