My limited experience in the last two days indicates that you are indeed 
right that -R DVDs are more widely compatible than +R's (contrary to what my 
"pro" 
video guy told me).   Live 'n learn (although I may not live long enough to 
ever stop being stupid).   I'm still checking this out; will report any 
relevant findings.   Tnx again for supplying helpful website.
