It's the one that appears when you have more than one keyboard layout 
enabled. I'm not particularly sure how you'd have gotten more than one 
layout enabled, but you can get rid of it by going into System 
Preferences: International and unchecking everything but U.S. under the 
Input Menu tab. (unless, of course, you -need- keyboard layouts in 
multiple languages.)
