I'm writing this as the List Czar. If you don't use AOL, you can delete
it right now because it's aimed at AOL users.

As those of you who use AOL know, they've been working very hard to
fight spam. While this is a good thing, you should also know that some
of the messages from this list never reach AOL subscribers because of
the spam filters.

Over the last few days, about a half dozen list messages have been
rejected by AOL and not delivered to any of the people with AOL
addresses. My e-mail to the postmaster there asking for an explanation
has gone unanswered.

I don't use AOL, so I don't know how much control you have over the spam
filters on your accounts. Is there anything that can be done by
individual subscribers to avoid this problem?

Every time one of these messages gets bounced off the AOL spamwall, I
get 30-40 rejection notices in my e-mail--one for each AOL address on
the list. This is starting to greatly annoy me, and my delete key is
getting over-used.
