Thanks, Jerry, but when I think if ROOT, I shudder! - I still hope  
there is something else before I have to dig this deep - I am at the  
moment digging out an old shrub and it is bodily beyond my  
capabilities!  - Take it from there. -Maybe by next week I shall  
muster that courage.
