Bill King and I were talking about the iBook G4 connector at last weeks meeting, it has 4 contacts. 3 on the tip and one circular collar ground.
I had to take out a few inches in three spots this evening, thanks to a bad kitty. Well, it seems that it is just two wires, one positive center conductor and one negative braid. I can only assume that the other two contacts are for the LED that changes colors from amber to green during the charge cycle.
