Yes, how is one to remember all these things, constantl upgrades, passwords that now seem to be reset every three months, then 8 digits minimum, they want upper case, lower case, special characters in the mix, then the iPods, different palms, , cell phones, digital cameras, all with different do-dads to remember- there is a combo drive, then there is a super drive, , the minus R the plusR, the RW , the DVD recorder and the CD player, the DVR , the numerous remote controls, the plugs, USB, the firewire, the serial whatever, the varied transformers, some for 110 only, some working at up to 240 volt, one can never be quite sure whether the device will work or sizzle in the 200 volt range, the oodles of connecter plugs for the different nations, England's awful size , Germany's crazy embedded ones, the wild cord jungle behind our computer connecting those printers, scanners, palms and iPods ( those lovely photos never show you that mess) the routers , the wireless connections , the hot spots which often are cold spots until you spend days to reconfigure your computer settings, the different TV screen sizes, and types, the 4/3 the 13/9 , full width, stretched width, black bands on the sides, black bands on the top, black bands along all four sides, then the analog part, intermixed with some digital confusion------ remember the quiet times before the technical mania took over? Now we need brains to store all the computer stuff and we had hoped the computer would be our brains while we were engaging in the pursuit of leisure. - Yet- in the face of it all, don't we love it?
