Re keyboard replacement: I wanted no-frills, and that's what I got -- a Logitech Classic 200, $14.00. Smaller footprint than my old Mac board, clean layout, nice firm action (but then anything would be better than the old one!). I also got a Logitech mouse, also $14.00 and also a big improvement over what I had.
Two minor complaints: 1. Keyboard has no USB input for mouse, and I ran out of USB ports on the computer about the dawn of time. Solution is to buy another USB hub (on the way), which I probably need anyway. 2. The "option" key has a Windoze logo on it (not in color, thank heavens). Maybe I'll figure a way to cover it up.
