I just had to pass this along to the Louisville group. Yesterday
evening at the monthly meeting of the Hershey (PA) Apple Core, Dave
Marra returned to brief the group on Leopard.
Dave is an Apple Senior Systems Engineer. He is a fantastic speaker!
He gave an AWESOME presentation and demo about Leopard!! Oh my gosh - I
was ready to jump out of my seat!!! He talked non-stop for about 2
hours, demonstrating all kinds of really neat things about Leopard.
(How I wish I had decided to take my college-freshman daughter, home on
spring break, with me to the HAC meeting. We're a long-time Mac family,
but she's now using her college-issued Dell laptop with Windows. [At
least it uses XP and not Vista.]) What an AMAZING presentation!!!
Dave has been at HAC before after getting an invitation from the HAC
president, Chuck Joiner. (Actually, Dave is so busy, Chuck had to twist
his arm to return to HAC.) I really wish Dave could get to Louisville
to give the group the same briefing, but he basically covers PA and NJ
(and, I think, Delaware?). One of the many, many good things he had to
say was that more and more schools are inviting him to give Apple
demos/presentations, especially schools that have never had even one
Apple computer.
But the Leopard demo was EYE-WATERING!!!
Anyway, just wanted to pass that along. (Can you sense that I'm still
abit excited?)
