I have an Epson scanner (Perfection 2450 Photo) and used the Epson software with it for a a few years, than someone or more than one suggested VueScan. Boy is it great. Easy to use and a whole lot faster than using the Epson software. And if you are doing scans of similar, same size items you can do then as fast as you can change the page. You can set it to scan every 5 seconds and then see if you can keep up with it. No way I'd go back to the Epson software.
Not too expensive either ($40.00). I'm using VueScan 8.4.62 on an Intel Mac running Leopard. There is a newer version just released but I haven't gotten around to it yet. http://hamrick.com/vsm.html. There home page starts off with a link to scanners supported by VueScan. Good luck, Anne Cartwright On Apr 24, 2008, at 6:02 PM, Stuart Ungar wrote: > I have an older but hardly used scanner.
