Same answer as Mike, the rechargeable batteries don't last worth a  
darn in a mouse. I use the Energizer Ultimate Lithium and those  
suckers last and last.   Went on vacation and used my camera non stop,  
took tons of movies and many pictures.   Never did have to change the  
batteries and they had already been in the camera several months.    
They do just as well with the mouse.
