There is a trick to getting this adapter to work with bigger tv's. I
have a 32 inch LCD samsung and my friend has a 42 inch plasma samsung
and it worked with both of them. First connect the adapter to the VGA
cable, the tv should then recognize there is a pc connected so select
the pc input. Then plug the adapter into the mini displayport and enjoy.

What are you seeing in System Preferences> Displays> Detect Displays?
