Vesa mount is what you need. Apple had problems with the video cables on the 
Lampshade iMacs.
If you have ever seen inside the arm you would know why.

Maybe we could all band together and march in email formation to challenge the 
people who made this stiff holder to have  a little imagination and make a 
swivel for the 2010 models . They would only have to consider swivelling  the 
base.  It should be easy, actually.

is quite common. There are a LOT of people who decry the loss of such a great 
physical interface for their favorite fruit-flavored computer.
