Here I am again:
1, the CD came to me as having been in mp3 format. I did not know this
at first, but got an email from my pastor, that is was mp3 format later/
2, I simple inserted it into my computer and imported it. It worked
splendidly Then I tried to burn it. After clicking "burn" I was asked
audio or mp3. So, thinking I should burn in audio, since that was on
top and I had heard it to be the preferred format, i clicked it. It
seemed to work alright, but at the end I got this alarm message : not
able to burn , a medium write error. So I thought : well, I shall try
to burn as a mp3 which worked well, especially when I found out that
the original was in a mp3 format playing on my regular ( already had
this CD playing on my regular CD player , making a cassette tape, not
knowing whether the importing process would turn out OK.
This player is a Samsung SM 7450 3CD changer music center playing
33records, CDs, cassettes , an aM FM tuner, and recording only to
cassettes.
The unadultered Cd played fine ther

Now , since I could not burn on audio on my computer, I tried to
burn on mp3. It worked flawlessly. However, while I could use this
copy in all my three computers to import it, also play it without
importing, the copy of the CD would not play on the Samsung on which
the CD having been sent to me in the mp3 format had played fine.
No 3.
So my question : what prevented it to be played on my regular Samsung
player. I tried other CDs I had burned in previous years, but never to
use to give away, thus never tried on this Samsung player, they all
did not play on it.
ED suggested that the CD was too long, however, even those little 3
minute burnings I had made, do not play on this my outfit.
No 4 .
Ultimate question : how can I burn a CD from my iTunes that the result
can be played on a regular CD player. The only two choices I have is
an audio burning or a mp3 burning. There is no other alternative. And
if I want to change the format by making the playlist to burn, the
only alternative is to change it into mp3s. And these copies then will
not play on a regular CD player.
Now what?

Firstly, to clarify a few points, 1. what program are you using to
burn the CDs?
2. audio cd usually means formatted as .aac or other file types
other then mp3.
3. CD Player, do you mean a seperate unit, or some software on your
computer.
4. refer to point 2 inre "able to burn then play it on other players"

Until last week it was cassettes. Now they changed to CDs. I make a
copy, then send it back for their archives. This all went flawlessly
for a number of years.
( I can't remember when last I burned CDs.!! Years ago and only to
keep a copy for myself if I bought a new computer to put them into
that.)
I had no difficulty putting it in yesterday, but the burning gave me
trouble. It ran though nicely, but then told me it could not burn
because of a slight "write error". Then I realized, actually by
accident, their CD was burned as a mp3. I had tried to burn as audio
CD, ( what that means I have no idea), but when I did change the
format to mp3 it all worked fine.So I made a couple of copies.,
proudly admiring my computer knowledge.
However, enter problem two. When I then tried to play that on my CD
player, no sound , the meter told me it was happily moving along, no
sound. Now the CD sent had played fine, since first I did make a
cassette copy, trying to forestall problems. So I knew there was
something that kept me from playing that, especially when I realized
my years old burnt copies also would not play.
Is there a way to be able to burn and then play it on other players,
or do I need to buy a Cd to CD copier or dubber? I hate to pay
hundreds of dollars, having looked at those duplicators. They also
have the DVD capability, which of course I would not need at all.
Any solution?
