I tried it when it first came out and was underwhelmed. I tried it again with Leopard because they changed the way things are stored on the disk, and it is much better. I've been using it in my office for almost a year, and rarely notice it. There are a few things that can be done to make it better. For example, I keep big video, graphics and sound files outside my home directory to avoid having them decrypted. > If you use FileVault then isn't every file on the computer encrypted? The biggest drawback to FV is its lack of granularity. Because of this, I've been thinking of switching to TrueCrypt, but I doubt that would work at all with TM.
