Hi, Group,

My computer at work (Mac Pro, 2007, running leopard) has a very full hard
drive. It's a 250GB drive, and I'm down to about 18GB of free space. I took a
look at the folders on that drive, and they only total about 75GB. So I figured
out how to make the hidden files show up (via terminal), and I found that the
largest (hidden) folder is named "private", and it weighs in at just over
135GB. The folders inside the "private" folder are: etc, tftpboot, tmp and var.
I haven't a clue what these files do, but it seems odd that they take up so
much space. Can I delete any of them? Or is there any way to reduce their
collective size?

Thanks in advance,

Wendi Williams
