Sounds like some of your s/w is mis-matched. I'm certainly
not on top of this, but I have a question: If you're running
MacOS X 10.5.8, why is your Activity Monitor ver. so old?
I'm running MacOS X 10.6.8, and my Activity Monitor ver.
is 10.6 .

Why is it so old? I updated my OS from 10.4.6, and use Software
Update, neither of which has changed my Activity Monitor.
