Yeah, that would make me nervous, too. But Googling around, it looks like that is legitimate. It most likely is the same password you use to log into your computer. If, however, you used a different password for your iCloud keychain, then it might be that.
It looks like a common Mac thing, though, and not malware. Let us know how you work it out, please.
