Thanks for the reply, sounds like what I thought as well.
I'll contact ilaro (author of the fork) and see what he says, but I'll be 
loading the current Machinekit SD card image for Cramps/BBB to get started.

I'll follow up with what I am sure will be other questions as I proceed.
