it's something with teh "RT" patchset in v4.4.x:

root@beaglebone:~# uname -r ; systemd-analyze
4.4.68-ti-rt-r112
Startup finished in 50.682s (kernel) + 1min 16.366s (userspace) = 2min 7.048s

root@beaglebone:~# uname -r ; systemd-analyze
4.4.68-ti-r112
Startup finished in 15.571s (kernel) + 47.007s (userspace) = 1min 2.578s

root@beaglebone:~# uname -r ; systemd-analyze
4.9.39-bone-rt-r6
Startup finished in 33.040s (kernel) + 57.759s (userspace) = 1min 30.799s

root@beaglebone:~# uname -r ; systemd-analyze
4.9.39-bone6
Startup finished in 16.721s (kernel) + 33.363s (userspace) = 50.084s

We could swap from 4.4.68-ti-rt-r112 -> 4.9.39-bone-rt-r6... All the
important bit's are the same..

Regards,
