You forgot to figure out the version of the machinekit build.

Is it one before mulicore ?

If this version of 
realtime.mk https://gist.github.com/sirop/1095b489a7d19f57546a056e62ca7d9b 
 ( note the linking in the very last step)
does not help you, then you have to try to include the source code of 
linuxcnc-ethercat into the machinekit build.
