Our school started out with Macs but a new principal quickly dumped them and bought PCs. I was the computer lab volunteer. I kept everything running. Over my objections they put in PCs. After one year of trying to keep the darn things running I finally threw in the towel.
Everyone was so surprised when I quit. The aggravation wasn't worth it. No one listened to me, I was just a middle aged woman volunteer. Didn't matter that I had been running Macs for 15 years and had 4 networked at home. Only the students are suffering now. At least my kids still have exposure to computers at home.
