Pier 1 has been in conversation with the Royal Canadian Legion national office about the most effective way for Pier 1 to support Canadian veterans. Our desire was to make a significant cash contribution to the national organization. However, we have just received word from the organization that the contribution to them could not be distributed effectively to their veteran members.
Consequently, Pier 1 will allow Royal Canadian Legion poppy boxes to be displayed on our stores� cashstand counters for the Remembrance Day period.
