Hi all,
I am trying to network a powermac 7100 (OS 8.1) with a WGS 80 (OS
7.6.) They are connected via two Farallon transceivers and a crossover
cable (new out of the bag, I know it's a crossover cable.)
In the Appletalk panel I have chosen Ethernet on both computers.
In the File Sharing panel I have the same owner name on both machines.
I left the password space blank on both machines. File sharing is
turned on on the WGS 80 but when I tried to turn it on in the 7100 I
got a dialogue box telling me that File Sharing could not be enabled.
The Network Extension, File Sharing Extension, and File Sharing
Library are in the Extensions folder.
What am I missing here? TIA. Regards, John.
