Yes. 

If it is the same device I have, it is really a localtalk to Ethernet 
converter for older Mac's and Powerbooks. Works fairly nicely, but tops 
out at a MUCH lower speed, and can't do TCP/IP natively (but can do MacIP 
over AppleTalk if you have a MacIP router). I also for some reason seem 
to recall it is not compatible with Open Transport... but I might be 
wrong on that.

You need the driver software for it, at one point it was on Farallon's 
web site, but if you have problems locating it, let me know and I can 
send you a disk image of what came with mine
